Babeng Mamadou

Babeng Mamadou
Year of birth:

Babeng is an astonishing kid. Small, fragile but he has incredible strengths and acts like an adult on the stage. If he finds the rhythm too slow during his dance, he bravely stands in front of the band and shows with his arms that he wants a faster rhythm. He is a real dramaturge: he stands on the calabas by facing the sky, waits and prays to arouse the public before he starts dancing. He is a talented dancing student, always well-mannered, organized and self-disciplined. While the others play in the sand, he rather listens to the fula flute. He wants to learn playing the fula flute. He wants to be an artist; this is his life. He is addicted to be on the stage and likes to be watched. He is crazy about dancing.
