Kadiatou Tiéblé Diarra

Kadiatou Tiéblé Diarra
Year of birth:

At the time we met, she was an eleven year old child from a family with five children. She started school late, so she is only in fourth grade. The family lives in one small room inside a big courtyard. From her parents, only her father attended school. He sells sand for construction purposes. Three of her siblings go to school too. She keeps her torn notebooks, and her pen in a dirty handbag. She also has a pencil which she shares with her grandfather. She answers our questions with confidence. She says she likes going to school and learning. Kadiatou is an exceptionally good student.
